Excell Macro

I want to compare value of a cell of an excell sheet to all other value of the same column and if any entry is duplicated in the column a message box should be displayed and the cell that contains the duplicate entry should be highlighted.i am unable to do it plz help me.

how do you want to compare them?

you need to use the conditional formula that includes if's, and's, and true's and false's. as for the highlighting thing, i don't know. you could preformat the cell that will contain the duplicate by changing the background color to yellow. if you know that cell is always going to contain the duplicate, then changing the background color should do the trick.
