I?m replacing an old Domain Controller, Windows 2K STD Server, with a new Windows ?03 STD R2 Server. We also have a Windows ?03 SBS Server which is on its own Domain, but acting as a Fileserver at present. The new DC will be taking on the roll of Fileserver which will leave the current Fileserver spare.
I?m thinking of moving the spare SBS (Fileserver), onto the main domain and migrating Exchange ?03 to it instead of putting it onto the new DC.
Will this cause any problems in relation to the DC being STD edition and the Exchange server being SBS edition?
