Well here is a tough one (at least I think)! I have changed the server names to false so as to provide for security.
I currently have Exchange 5.5 SP4 running on and NT4.0 SP6A box, with the (false) Server name being AICORP, and an (false) IP address of 123.123.123.123. I have the IMS Service listening/binding to the ports on the MS Proxy server on the (false) AICORP2 server that is firewall.
I want to host two e-mail domains (i.e. acmecorp.com and acmeinc.com) on the one Exchange Server. Currently, acmecorp.com has been running fine (receiving and sending mail); I just want to add acmeinc.com to address a certain group of users. The IMS service on the Exchange 5.5 Server is configured on the Routing Tab as ?acmeinc.com (Inbound)?. The MX record for the second domain at our ISP is showing a configuration of the following:
acmeinc.com IN MX 10 aicorp.acmeinc.com
Which also has other DNS records like so:
acmeinc.com IN A 123.123.123.123
acmeinc.com www IN A123.123.123.123
Have I configured this correctly to receive mail to a user configured in Exchange with a @acmeinc.com e-mail address? Should I have other DNS records pointing a certain way? Does any configuration need to be made on the Proxy Server to allow mail destined for @acmeinc.com to get to the Exchange Server behind it?
Any help would greatly be appreciated, and I will provide more info if needed!!
