What did you select to have installed during the process? Did you get any error messages? Did you run forestprep and domainprep first? Please give a few hints.

Domainprep and Forestprep are automatically run when installing for the first time. So I can't see anything wrong here.

These following services must be installed after installing Exchange 2000 :

Microsoft Exchange Directory Service to Metabase
Microsoft Exchange Event
Microsoft Exchange IMAP4
Microsoft Exchange Information Store
Microsoft Exchange Management
Microsoft Exchange Message Transfer Agent Stacks
Microsoft Exchange POP3
Microsoft Exchange Routing Engine
Microsoft Exchange Site Replication Service
Microsoft Exchange System Attendant

If you can not see them, try looking in the registry and see if they are there:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SYSTEM
CurrentControlSet
Services

If they are not....please let us know more. Does Exchange actually works after installing??

I am able to get the solution from different source. By installing Exchange components and collaboration option along the option I selected first, I was able to configure the organization for exchange server and see the services.
