exchange 2000

By Curacao_Dejavu ·
Hi,

I have set up exchange 2000.
I am having the following trouble. Everybody is able to send email to everywhere in the world. But the world can not send back. They are not receiving emails, after a day or 2 they will receive a ndr message error code 4.4.1

I am able to telnet into pop3, smtp imap and everything and the nslookup is fine also.

What am I missing.

regards,

Leopold

Hi,

How are your MX records looking in the DNS?

Cheers,
Tim.

Is this the IP of your Exchange server
Name: hojo-curacao.com
Address: 216.152.169.123

Does your ISP have a copy of your MX record that might be pointing to a wrong IP address?
Maybe a firewall that's not forwarding the port to your Exchange box?

We are the ISP and we are hosting dns-servers for our clients, the info in the dns is correct.
You are right about the firewall, there is a firewall. The next step is how to fix it.
