I have a WINDOWS 2000 DC (let’s call it A) holding all the FSMO roles. I have another server on the same subnet which is also a DC (Active Directory installed – called B).
Exchange 2000 SP1 is installed on server B. The problem is that the Exchangetools only show up if I use the “ACTIVE DIRECTORY USERS AND COMPUTERS” from server B (on which Exchange 2000 is loaded.) The Exchange tools don’t show up when I run the “ACTIVE DIRECTORY USERS AND COMPUTERS” from server A. I did run /forestprep and /domainprep before installing Exchange 2000 to modify the schema. Both servers replicate just fine.
Is this behavior by design?
