Exchange 2000 and NTBackup util

By David__ ·
I have a box with Windows 2000 Server SP4 and Exchange 2000 SP3. I want to backup individual items in the users mailboxes. I have a Sybex book, "Mastering Exchange 2000 server" that says I can browse the M drive in ntbackup. When I try it shows no items in users mailboxes. What do I need to do to see items in users mailboxes?
I really need to know ASAP, hince the high points.

NTBACKUP won't let you do mailbox level backups. Sorry it just don't work. Your best bet is a comercial backup solution like Backupexec with the exchange compenent. I've used that since I started using Exch2k and it works like a champ and is well worth the cost.

I knew that BU Exec would do it, but I saw a study guide say that ntbackup would to. You are the only one that answere, so you get the points.
Thanks for your time.
