I am trying to setup a Exchange2K Instant Messaging server but my
clients cannot connect to it. I have the following in place:
– Win2K servers and clients (SP1)
– IIS 5 working fine
– DNS, including _RVP resource record
– user accounts with Exchange mailboxes and IM activated
– IM server setup, including the option to host users
The error I am recieving is as follows:
“The logged in user doesn’t have permission to use the specified IM account”. And asks for my complete security info (IM user name, user name, password, domain/security context).
I am aware of other people with this problem, but so far no solution.
Does anyone have any ideas?
