By David Shang ·
if user is member of Domain Admin, then the user can access to Exchange Server 5.5 (use Outlook Web Access from internet), but under Exchange Server 2000, only Administroator can access to Exchange Server 2000 (use OWA), even user is member of Administrotors and Domain Admin, the user can not access to Exchange Server, does anyone know what's wrong ? Thanks.

Exchange 2000 / OWA

I had this same problem. I created a group called webmail users.

Then gave that group the permissions to log on locally.

Then just added the users that i wanted to have OWA access to that group

On the OWA server is where you need to grant the "log on locally" just to clearify answer 1.
You can grant this to "Domain Users" or as answer 1 states create a Global Group only for OWA users, and add this group to the log on locally right on the OWA server.
"Log on Locally" in Windows2000 can be found by going to Admin Tools|Local Computer Policy. In the local policy Expand Local Policy and then click on User Rights Assignment. Find Log on Locally and double click. Add the appropriate group.
