Has anyone worked with Exchange 2000? Could you share some of your experiences?

Thanks

Exchange 2000 problems

by rob.lefebvre In reply to Exchange 2000 problems

I have installed Exchange 2000 RC2 on a fresh Win2k Server in its own domain. I used LDIFDE to import 2250 users as contacts so I could email to our legacy system. I then connected our Seagate Info Crystal Reports Server to Exchange 2000 and am running proction reports to our legacy system via Exchange 2000. One problem I have found is that the globally unique identifier (GUI) is not really unique. I have had problems sending mail to people based on their handle, or short name. For instance, we have a person whose login name is JAN. If you attempt to send a message to JAN via Seagate Info / Exchange, it fails. If you send it to jan.lastname it works. I am not sure how to get this to work properly and there is VERY LITTLE good information out there at this time.

Sure. I have installed Exchange server 2000 abd seems to work pretty good. The defference between it and Exchange 5.5 is like night and day. Completely dependent and integrates into the Active directory.
