I’m the Net Admin for a company with a user base of roughly 200 users. We are currently running Exchange 2000 server and Outlook 2000 as our email client on all pc’s. We converted everyone over to a pst that is stored on a seperate server that is backed up every night. Our problem is this: employees delete there emails from their deleted items and we have no way to keep recover these emails since they are on individual pst’s. This can hurt the company in so many different aspects. For ex, one employee who was fired recently for constantly sending personal emails, quickly deleted every single email she had in all of her folders. She then threatened to sue us for no proof or reason for terminating her. Luckily, the last email she had sent out was replied to and we quickly contained it for evidence. Is there any way that we can have our EDB forward emails to the PST’s versus actually moving them when we change the delivery options in Outlook? That way we can always keep track of emails.
