Supposedly, relay is restricted by default on Exchange 2000 but apparently I have changed something…and now cannot get it reset. In the smtp virtual, I have set relay restrictions by specifying only those in the list..and there are no ips or domains in the list. However, there must be something else because I can send mail off the server remotely without authenticating.
I have tried some other settings and have only been successful at stopping all mail from flowing. What, besides the relay option must be configured?
