I just got a job finally after 14 months out of work and it has killed me. I did server admin, builds, etc. Nowhere on my resume did it say Exchange. Anyway I start day 1 and they hand me this problem Exchange 2003 sp2 server out of space all the time and told me find solutions. I come from IBM and the Lotus Notes world unfortunately. I really don’t want to lose this job because I’m near broke and finally have a job. I spent the whole first day reading up on Exchange. Archiving mail, putting personal folders on other servers, and they want some kind of dashboard to tell them ahead of time when this thing has problems cause the pres of the company is having fits. Please only respond if you can give me some good ideas as I’ve been beat down enough in the past 14 months. They may eventually upgrade to a new server and professional but for now it’s standard edition sp2 and I need to find some solutions and also be alerted when problems arise before the store goes down.
