I am implementing an exchange 2007 server into an exchange 2003 single server enviroment with the eventual aim to remove the 2003 server.
I have the routing group connectors working and can send emails to and from mailboxes on each server, however mail from a mailbox on the 2007 server only sends externally if a send connector to the internet is configured.
The trouble is that when a send connector is configured all mail from mailboxes on the exchange 2003 server get undeliverable messages as below:
“You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator.
napsv003 is the 2003 server
If I remove the send connector from the 2007 server and reboot both servers mail flow is restored except for external delivery from mailboxes on the 2007 server.
Port 25 is configured on the router to point to the 2003 server
If somebody can help me with a way to make all mail from both servers be delivered then I can gradually move all mailboxes to the 2007 server, reconfig the router for port 25 to the 2007 server and retire the 2003 server.
