Exchange 5.5

I finely got me a new server that will replace an old P1 that was used as a print and small file server. I purchase this new server with the intentions of it becoming our new Exchange 5.5 server on our Domain. Exchange was purchaed before I started to work here but was never installed. Question ? how critical is the name of the server ? it would be a piece of cake if I named it the same as the server that it’s replacing. Server name is plotroom. I am new to Exchange and I will be doing some reading on Exchange installations this week end, any other tips ?
