Is it possible to have more than one alternate recipient listed in the delivery options of a users mailbox? If so, how can I do this. I am running NT 4.0 with SP6 and Exchange server 5.5 with SP4.
No, I don't believe there's any way through Exchange Admin. to specify more than one alternate recipient. The user can set up rules through Outlook on his/her own desktop, however, to forward copies of received messages to as many other people as required. Hope this helps!
Not directly, but the workaround is to create a Distribution List of the mailboxes that should be included. Then use that Distribution List as the Alternate Recipient.
You might just create a mailbox under ExchAdmin and then have the mailbox be added as an additional mailbox in Outlook. This should give the users a personal mailbox and the general mailbox as active mailboxes within their Outlook.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
