Exchange 5.5

A machine was formatted, and her pst file was not saved. Is they any form i could get her PST file in the exchange server. Due to i can get it the computer that was formated

Once that drive was formatted without backing the file you're inquiring about, your only chance of getting it was eliminated.

I know you didn't to hear that but....

I've done this before and there is no PST file other than the one on the machine that was formatted.

If you did not install anything after you formatted the machine. You may be able to recover it using third-party software like PowerQuest's Lost&Found. There are also companies that you can send the drive to and they will recover what they can off the drive (expensive though). Just depends how important the data on PST was?

One more thing you still may be able to recover the PST even if you did install stuff as long as it did not overwrite the PST.

The only way you could get the PST file from the server was if the pst was set to save on the server instead of the local machine. Have you done a search for any pst files on the servers. If you do not find ant them I am afriad it is gone
