When adding or changing a mailbox – the following error is displayed:
The directory is busy. Wait a few minutes and try again. Microsoft Exchange Directory ID no: DS_E_BUSY.
This problem is discussed in Q261091 and can be fixed by cycling thedirectory service. This is as good as bouncing the server. Has anyone seen this problem & been able to assertain what might cause the directory to become locked and not unlock?
The system is NT4sp5 Exchange 5.5sp3 and has been up for 48 days.
