Exchange 5.5 replication?

When engaged in conversation with Microsoft during a server outage, they said that a Windows 2000 Pro PC on the same network could be setup to replicate the Exchange 5.5 data in some manner as a backup method. Does anyone know exactly how to accomplish this?
