Exchange IMC capacity

Where can I find information on Exchange IMC capacity? I’m looking for a couple of things inpeticular. How many emails can be the IMC handle at once say with a 3MB attachment? We are looking into mailing our clients statements. These mailings could potentialy all happen at once. Can the Exchange server handle this? Has anyone had any experience in doing something like this? My hardware won’t be a problem.

The IMC will handle 1 message at a time, the limitation is the speed of the ISP connection, The MTA sets up the messages into the outbound queue and the IMC then sends them in the order they are found
