The company I work for has an exchange 2003 (standard) system in the head office as you would expect. We have a remote office which for reasons I won’t go into has WAN connectivity 4 times a day for 2 hours at a time. The 4 users at that site have pop e-mail (because a predesessor set it up that way) running off the exchange server.
If the users want to e-mail one another the messages have to go back to the exchange server, so if the wan link is unavailable it could take 4 hours for a message to pass from one desk to the next. Is there some sort of relay I could install on-site so that intersite messages don’t need the WAN link?
