Exchange/Outlook Issue

By lcave ·
When trying to open a resouce calendar (permissions are correct), Outlook hangs for a while. The hourglass is replaced with the message. "the information store could not be opened".

The resource responds when an appointment is scheduled. The calendar can be opened from the Outlook running on the domain controller.

Network Os is 2000 running active directory.

I'm not sure whether to look to Exchange 2K or outlook (also 2K).

Thank you,

Sorry, but " ..can be opend from the OUTLOOK running on the domain controller..." ?

Well, honestly, since that server seems 2be your ADS-Server also and you have Outlook and Exchange installed ...that is kinda weired for me - sorry !
Outlook is a client-apps, not a server-apps ...!

I dont understand that kinda configuration - maybe that is why you have these problems !

We have two domain controllers. Outlook is installed on or second domain controller for resources only. I know that with the advent of Outlook 98 and above it is no longer necessary to have a resource mail box running, but we like to see what's going on.

We have exchange 2K set up on an entirely different server. I apologize for the confusion. Realistically, only an idiot would set up a domain controller as you suggest!
