    Exchange OWA Login Problem

    Locked

    by working it ·

Win 2K3 Server with Exchange 2K3
I login to a Win 2K PC and access my OWA using IE. The login paper pop-up. I key in my user name, password, and domain. The login window will pop-up again and again even though everything I key in is correct.

But if I click on “Cancel” on the login screen then press F5 to refresh the page, the my OWA page will be displayed.

Why the login screen will pop-up even I key in the correct user name and password?

And the scarier part, why does it allow you to login with the cancel button???

I have a similar situation with Linux. I use IMAP proxy to the exch. svr. I get an error that I cannot connect, when I clear the error my calendar and email pop up just fine (and update regularly). The exch. team has told me that because my IMAP account has been inactive for so long, it is being disabled. Funny, I use it daily. So even though I see everything, it still shows up as I do not????

When you get your answer, maybe I’ll get mine too.

Are they any errors in the event log of the Exchange Server?

      Regards,

I think the problem is caused by the “Default User” folder I setup. The OWA URL link work with the first user. Then I copied the first user’s profile to Default User. The second user, who is first time login to the PC, will get that login page. At the bottom of the Internet Explorer, I see that IE is trying to open the first user’s OWA home page. I am not sure how to change that. But if I click “Cancel” then press F5 to refresh the screen, the second user’s OWA will come up. Any idea why?

There is no username in the OWA shortcut (http://domain/exchange). But when the second user tried to open the shortcut, at the bottom of the IE screen, it will show it is trying to open http://domain/exchange/first_username…
