In an attempted to be a good network administrator, I want to block relay from my Exchange server. But, since I have DB program on our web server that sends emails to registered people, I have to becareful. If I try to open relay to just our web server it fails. I am adjusting routing on the Internet Mail service. I’m running Exchange 5.5 on a NT 4 box (sp-6). Do I need to set more than one setting? The setting I am trying is under properties of the Internet Mail Service; Routing > Routing Restrictions > Hosts & Clients with these IP Addresses. Ideas?
