My Client is running MSExchange5.5 w/ NT4.0 Server. REcently I discovered literally 1000’s of messages back to the Administrative email account showing an “outbound mail failure”. All of the messages are of the same type but the “TO:” and “FROM:” are all different. Please also note that no one in the office is any of the “FROM:” people nor does anyone know any of the “TO:” people. I have all the normal securities in place ie. Cisco firewall, Symantec enterprise Virus protection, current virus definitions. I delete these now on a daily basis, but they continue to happen. I have included a copy of one of the notices. Any ideas on what it may be, remember the “failed mail” is inside going out.
