Exchange Server 2003 – Cached Mode on or off?

by serverjockey . Updated 18 years, 8 months ago

Hi there, I just setup an Exchange 2003 Server and was wondering how many Admins out there favor the Cache mode and how many don’t and the reasons why. I’m new to Exchange but it seems like the cache mode could be a good thing if there ever was a problem with the Email server as people could still atleast open Outlook to read or print off critical emails and still get their contacts. Without cached mode they just receive an error message that Outlook can’t open. Seems like cached mode would be a must for traveling laptop users. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
