I am in a corporate network with two offices in two states. Both offices have an Exchange Server 5.5 (through mergers of two companies), but mail only comes through one. As of now, it is set for open-relay and listed on orbiz, therefore we are trying to change that, but when we do, the remote office can not send or receive mail. The Exchange server in the remote office is used primarily for an address book (or so I thought) but when the settings for each client (tools–services–microsoft exchange server) is changed from the remote server to the main server, no mail is sent or received. All clients are set for internet mail with the main server as being the POP3 and SMTP server. Any suggestions on what procedure to follow next? Eithercomments or books to read will be appreciated. Searched MS knwoledge base, came up short.
