EXCHANGE SERVER 5.5 : Plugging an IMC lo
I'm trying to solve this annoying problem that I have. The organisation that I work for uses Exchange Server 5.5 (Enterprise Edition) and we have divided the organisation into 2 distinct entities which are managed seperately and we have 2 seperate NT domains. We use ONE Exchange server environment and each entity i.e. company has been added as a seperate SITE in our Exchange environment. We use the X.400 connectors to link the 2 sites together which works perfectly.
At our site we use a seperate UNIX server for our Internet mail and only AUTHORISED users are allowed to have Internet mail. We use the Exchange (32bit client) as our e-mail client because Outlook is too resource intensive for our environment. The Exchangeclient is configured with 2 services if a user has both INTERNET and EXCHANGE mail then 2 services are added as sources for mail for the user, one for EXTERNAL mail i.e. Internet and one for INTERNAL Exchange company mail.
