Exchange Server Adddress List Replicatio

By tzmueller ·
I posted a question just prior but I didn't explain myself quite right. Here it is again.

I have 2 seperate Exchange sites/domains. Both are using Exchange 5.5sp3 and have direct connections to the Internet. I would like to only replicate the Address Lists between the 2 sites automatically and possibly our free/busy info, say every 15 minutes.

I was looking at the InterOrg Replication Utility from MS. I don't know if this utility can work through the InterNET (note: our sites are not connected to each other via a WAN and don't want to). Also we don't want to use VPN to create a tunnel to each other. I don't think security is a big concern for just our address' being passed.

Is this possible and has anyone ever used the InterOrg Replication Utility this way?

If you need more info you can mail me @ tzmueller@home.com

Thanks, very perplexed.

What you can do, depending on your router is filter the IP traffic in the pipe and send it directly from one Internet IP to another.
If you are using class B ip's on both servers you can replicate directly. Otherwise VPN(I know that is not what youwant to hear)
