I am trying to setup messaging system for my internal small office setup with 50 users. I don’t have a valid domain name registered. what i did was this.
I installed exchange 5.5 server on my NT server domain controller and configured it for my internal interwork messaging system. it works fine within the network, but no email is routed to the internet. I checked my Internet mail service and all the outbound messages are just queuing up but is not forwarded..
I want to know whether can i send my users emails to internet , even though i know that incoming mails won’t come in because i don’t have a registered internet domain name.
I just want the mails to be routed out of my network to addresses like hotmail, yahoo…etc..
is it possible?
