Is there a conflict installing a MS Exchange Server to a Domain Controller?

I believe installing in PDC is the requirement to install Ms Exchange.

I'm currently running Ms EXchange 5.5 Server on Win NT 4.0 PDC.

One draw back is Ms EXchange services will 'pull down' the server performance.

Good luck !

None that I know of except performance. If you have a strong box it shouldn't be a problem. I just installed Exchange 2000 in a W2K DC about 2 months ago and it works fine. I also run Exchange 5.5 on and upgraded W2K DC box I use the active direectory connector to replication the changes in Exchange with no problems.

Installing Exchange server on a domain controller is not preferred. say if your Exchange server causes some problem and brings down the Domain controller, then your entire network is down and users wont be able to access network wide service/shares.

I recommend installing it as a stand alone or on a backup domain controller.
