Exchange server woes

OK! I am a newbie when it come to NT, so please bear with me. I am a hardware guy, but i was recently promoted, and am now Head MIS. I have a problem with my exchange server. It is showing the wrong times for when mail is recieved. Usually 6 to 10 hours BEFORE it was actually received. Can anyone help me?

My kneejerk reaction is that you did not tell either NT or Exchange server which time zone you are in. You are probably seeing the times in GMT.

You haven't told us how your Exchange server knows what time it is (if it just keeps the time on it's own, if it in sync with a timeserver on your network) but I think I would start by going to Control Panel, Date/Time and check the time and timezone there.

Once you've done that, you might consider using a time sync utility (timeserv from the NT Resource Kit or abouttime from www.arachnoid.com) to keep it properly set.
