I have a group of mail servers, one of which has the IMC.
This server is about to be replaced. The new server has taken over most of the folders etc, but does not receive mail, only sends.
I tried stopping the Internet Mail Service on the oldserver, and then telneting to the server, this failed. Internaly, they both accept telnet on port25.
Some details to help you, help me.
2 server, ex5.5, sp4 (nt sp6a)
both use DNS to route mail.
Both are on the local side of MS Proxy 2
Using telnet externally, will only connect to mail.domain.com, but not to email.domain.com
