exchange VSI folder

To cut a long story short, I did an idiotic thing.
I deleted the files in …..exchange\mailroot\vsi 1\queue folder in an attempt to stop the myriad on antivirus messages on the machine.

But now I realise that I’ve gotten no mail for monday even though the date on the deleted files is today.

Is there anyway I can find those messages in exchange and rotue them or have I lost them forever ?
