Exchange2000 on a NT Network

By dolson ·
Since the DC must be running Win2k to use Exchange and I cannot upgrade out existing DC becuase of software issues, can I put our Exchange server in it's own Domain and still get the email from our 1st domain???

From MS website:

Upgrades of Windows NT 4.0 User Accounts Before Deploying Exchange 2000
Your Windows NT 4.0 accounts do not need to be upgraded to the Active Directory. Disabled mailbox accounts can be created in the Active Directory. Existing Windows NT 4.0 user accounts can be retained for logon validation.
