    Exchanger Server 5.5/Public Folders

    Locked

    by dean ·

We’re using an Exchange server (5.5 SP3) and using Public Folders for internal newsgroups.

I’m looking for a way to sort/move the folders once they’ve been created. It doesn’t look like it can be done, but I thought I’d ask. Also, I’ve been unable to get the “edit” a posting to work, even with appropriate permissions. Anyone else having these problems?

Had the same problem, and no solution. We actually made our problem worse. We have two exchange servers, but they reside in the same site. In administrator, they look like they are all one big happy server.
We tried deleting the public folders because it seemed the only option, but now our second server still has a record of the old folders (we had the exchange servers disconnected when we made the change).
Now we have a ‘ghost’ set of folders. One server says they exist on the other, but of course they were deleted. Now it pops messages now to the users when it looks for the free/busy info because it doesn’t really exist!
Not a solution, but we definitely have some probs in this area too! Thought I’d share.

If you solve that question, you should close this question.
