Excluding folders in automated NT backup

By eric.brown ·
Is there a way to exclude a folder while backing up the drive using NT Backup in the script used with the AT scheduler?

Excluding folders in automated NT backup

I don't know of a way to actually exclude files unfortunatly, but give this a shot. My first recomendataion when using NTBACKUP is to set up a batch file and call that batch file with the AT command. Second backup directory structures individually. To backup your default drive, you would back up (1) the registry, (2)winnt, (3)program files, and on the next line of the batch file, a seperate NTBACKUP command with the next set of files/directories to be backed up. For full backups I usually have the first full backup I don't specify "/A" and for each of the following backups within the full backup and for weekly backups I specify "/A".
