.exe errors in windows 2000

I have been seeing an increasing # of errors from my w2k machine where the message is: opware32.exe has generated errors and is being shut down. An error log is being generated. This occurs with several different programs such as mmc.exe, quark.exe, word.exe and so on. I haven’t seen anything in the event log around the time of the errors. I ran a full diagnostics on the machine and everything checked out. I ran checkdisk and defraged the hard drive. I swapped out the RAM. I tried to findthe opware32.exe program and always get 0 files found. Any ideas on how to fix this issue? The errors occur often when in files and then corrupt them. Thanks!
