explorer can’t find active desktop html

system boots and runs just fine,except at boot up
I get message “EXPLORER CAN’T FIND ACTIVE DESKTOP
HTML FILE.” I tried to find it with the search
utility, I got all kinds of desktop files but couldn’t find the one to restore the active desktop to view as as web page. system.ini [boot]shows shell=explorer, so htat has not been changed. How do I get back the active desktop html
file or create a new one for Windows 98 to view it in web style again. Any one know where the file is supposed to reside in the system folders?
any and all help is appreciated in getting it back and working again. other wise system seems to boot and run every thing except active desktop
