Hi,
I have a Win 2000 machine that I couldn’t get onto with the user name and pw, either as user or as admin. (it is a standalone machine) I finally found a way to see the password with some software I downloaded from the net. (NT Recovery BootableCD). After gaining access to the system I kept getting a MSIInstall error where it was looking for a Norton Antivirus file, so I uninstalled Norton. Then I started to get a Explorer.ext Application Error, saying “The instrucion at “0x77fc9ba0” referenced memeory at “0x99dead99”. The memory could not be “written”. Click ok to terminate. So I clck Ok and it pops up again and again with different sets of alpha numberic codes. I don’t know what to do to fix it. Do I need to just reinstall Windows? I have uninstalled the last three programs that were installed trying to find the offending program to no avail.
HELP!
Thanks
