Explorer.exe

Locked

Once in a while I get a message: The shell stopped unexpectedly and Explorer.exe was restarted. In event viewer the event id is 1002. Does anyone else get this?

  This indicates that Explorer caused a GPF or Dr. Watson error to occur. IOW, some memory or paging conflict happened while Explorer was running. This is rare but I have seen it happen – however, it might indicate something is causing your system not to be able to browse its own hard drive properly, and this could point to hard drive corruption. Hope not, in your case!
