I have 25 or so developers using HP XE3 and or HP VL400 machines. When we load SP2 for W2k and start to use the Explorer to browse a drive (local or network) after a very few moves the Explorer session hangs. Using Task manager we see a rapid shiftof utilization up&down in 2or3 sec cycles topping out at 100%. Occassionally hangs bad enough to make a hard boot necessary. Rumor is there are work arounds for this “known” problem. I can’t find evidence of this exact problem. Any hints or help would be appreciated.
