Export complex Access reports

By adrianaandrei ·
I have complex MS Access reports and I need to export in EXCEL or WORD. I try but the result is somethings "heuristic". Only in Snapshot Viewer I see what I want. It's possible to export in EXCEL or Word in the same format like the original report ?

You don't mention what version of Access you're using, but with Access 2000 and up you can run the report then publish it to either Word or MS Publisher. I don't know about Excel though.

I'm using Access 2000. My reports look like a table with variable heights for rows, with subreports or more fields in the same cell, and they are based on queries with fields from more related tables and parameters transmitted by forms. The document .rtf generate with a macro OutputTo has not any line and is difficult to identify the utile information from fields in the sequence of characters to try formatting then. In .xls the utile information is better grouping on levels, but the parameters are ignored. What ca I do?

Thanks for your time !

One way to accomplish creating reports that can be distributed to all users regardless of their software is to use a .PDF creating program.

Some PDF creating applications can be downloaded from the Internet as freeware and shareware.

I use PDF995 for my Access report distribution and I have no problems by any on my end users.

Good Luck, Rich
