Exporting Crystal report to excel

By madhavi_ankam ·

I am using Crystal report 9. When I export the report all cells are overlapped. I have to adjust all the excel sheet before printing. Can anyone suggest me 'How to export it without doing rework",once it is exported it shoould be in printable format.

Thanks for your help,

Possible work around

After importing the data into Excel, click the square in the upper left corner of the sheet, where the 'A' column and '1' row come together. This will select the entire spreadsheet. Then double-click the small vertical bar between any of the column labels, such as between the 'A' column and the 'B' column. This will automatically size each column to the correct width for the data it contains. Now click any cell to undo the original selection, and print.

You could quickly record a macro to perform the column sizing and printing for you. If you name the macro 'Autostart' it will run automatically when you open the spreadsheet. (I think the correct name is 'Autostart', but you should look in the Help files to confirm this or get the exact name.)
