Exporting IIS configuration Info ?

by pcguy . Updated 25 years, 2 months ago

Is there any way to ‘export’ all the IIS config info to a flat file or comma delimited?

For example, I had to migrate a web server hosting 70+ webs, 5+ FTP’s, and tons of Virtual Directories. I manually went through each web and documented all the settings (connect as, default document, etc) in an excel spreadsheet, so I can duplicate it all on the new server. This of course included taking screen shots – what a pain.

I find it hard to believe MS does not have a tools for this.

Am I missing something? If so, where is the tool???

Thanks-
Dave

PS- I know about the Migration Wizard, in addition to the fact that it has bugs (admitted by MS) I need something to document the settings on a regular basis…
