1TB external hard disk (WD) doesn’t show up on my laptop running Windows 7. It turns on since the little light on it comes on but nothing happens. It doesn’t show in the device manager as a USB, it doesn’t come up when I go to “disk management”, it is as if nothing has been connected to the laptop. I even “uninstalled” my USB input device and then plugged it in but that didn’t help either.
The problem occurred when I tried to connect it to my xbox360 not knowing they have a limit, I took it to a friend and he says the device shows up on windows xp but not on 7.
I don’t care if the information I was storing is lost, I’d like to get it to work again.
