External Hard Drive

by rvsullne . Updated 17 years, 4 months ago

I have a Dell Dimension 4550 desktop computer. I want to buy an external hard drive that I can store my stuff on, in case my computer would crash. I’m looking at Seagate Free Agent Go 500GB portable hard drive. Will this work for my computer? I have Windows XP. I have two slots of memory with 520mb each. I have a Logitech desktop USB keyboard and mouse, Epson printer/copy/scan, and a dvd usb drive burner. Any help would be appreciated. I’m not sure what to buy. I have stored several things on flash drives but would like them all on one drive. I thought Seagate would be the best.
I think 500GB is plenty, do not think I need TB.
