Hi, I have a mid 2012 Macbook Pro, Yosemite 10.10.5. It seems like it might be die at any time so I hooked up an external hard drive to copy my photos and iTunes library. However, being computer illiterate as I am, I messed that up and ended up RELOCATING them there instead of just making a back-up copy. Now I am unable to eject my external drive. It says “one or more programs may be using it”. I’ve quit all programs and applications; there’s nothing using it. I’m afraid to force quit because I’m scared I will lose everything. Does anyone know how I can fix this issue?
