External HDD not recognized by BIOS
LockedHello i have a Laptop Samsung NP530U3B, which internal HDD died… (Yeah totally dead, took about 2 days to get rid of a CHKDSK), which only thrown to me a lot of errors of damaged files.
Since this laptop is from a friend, he wanted to see the problem and the possible cheap solution for it.
Now it comes 3 options.
1) Replacing the internal HDD for a new one or SDD.
2) Installing a Windows 10 in his pendrive (32 GB).
3) Installing a Windows 10 in his External HDD. (Around 900Gb total space partitioned already). He told me to go for option 2 first, which worked, and he can see now the real problem is the internal HDD.
Now the problem comes, he want now Windows 10 installed in his External HDD. I tried using WinToUsb formating 1 partition in NTSF (MBR) to install it, but the BIOS simply doesn’t recognize it.
I had this problem earlier too with the USB pendrive, but i changed in the BIOS settings to support it. and other things like Fast bios disabled.
What does the External HDD not being recognized in BIOS, rather than my USB?.
Any help would be appreciated.
