This HDD is from my computer, I used it as external for about 2 years now and it was working properly. It is Samsung st1000lm024. For some reason I can’t open it or find it in disk management. It can only be visible in Device manager.
In disk management it shows grey area of Disk 1 Not initialized, when I try to Initialize as MBR it shows fatal device hardware error, when I try GPT – size is too small. I tried to find it on FInd and Mount and the size of it appears at 0b, even though it is 1TB.
I’m no tech, so I really need informative step by step answers. Thanks! P.S. It would be amazing if you’d tell me not only how to fix it but also how to save my files.
